Kanye West, Jay-Z take 'The Throne' with upcoming 2011 tour dates : Rap royalty Kanye West and Jay-Z have teamed up to form a new group, called The Throne. The duo will showcase their workmanship with a new full-length album, "Watch the Throne," and a North American tour of the same name.
The 24-date Watch the Throne Tour kicks off September 22 at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, MI. West and Jay-Z will cross the country over the next month and a half before closing their venture November 3 at TD Garden in Boston, MA.
Highlights on the U.S. calendar include two-night stands on September 27-28 at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ; October 6-7 at the United Center in Chicago, IL; and October 19-20 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
West and Jay-Z will also visit three Canadian markets during their stint on the road, playing September 24 at the Air Canada Center in Toronto, ON, and September 25 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, QC, as well as a single western province date on October 14 at the HP Pavilion in Vancouver, BC.
Presales start July 28, and public ticket sales will begin August 8 on Ticketmaster.com and LiveNation.com, according to a press release from Live Nation and Roc Nation, Jay-Z's entertainment and management division of the company.
August 8 also marks the planned release date for "Watch the Throne," which the pair had been collaborating on since late 2010. Fans who purchase their concert tickets through an official online channel will also receive a digital copy of the album.
In recent months and years, West has made several concert and festival appearances, including a headline spot on the Coachella 2011 bill. But the upcoming fall 2011 tour is his first major outing since the 2008 Glow in the Dark Tour. West's later plans to tour with Lady Gaga were cancelled following the rapper's widely scrutinized antics during the 2009 MTV Music Video Awards.
Jay-Z has been more active on the road, headlining All Points West 2009 and Coachella 2010, while also completing late 2009 and early 2010 tour legs for "The Blueprint 3." Shortly before beginning The Throne collaboration project, Jay-Z staged concerts with Eminem in the rappers' hometowns of Detroit and New York City. More tour dates to be added to the tour schedule as it unfolds. Watch for added Jay-Z concerts.
Don’t miss any of the Jay-Z concerts or Jay-Z tour dates that play near you, fit your schedule.

Jay-Z Biography and Info :
The top millennium top hip-hop artist, Jay-Z tied Elvis Presley for the most Number One albums by a solo performer with the release of his 2007 disc American Gangster. (The Beatles still hold the overall record with nineteen chart toppers). Born Shawn Carter, on December 4, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York, he grew up in the tough Marcy Projects Like fellow New York rappers DMX and Nas, he achieved broad mainstream acceptance for his unflinching accounts of urban life while his keen pop sensibilities and business acumen helped him ascend the top of the charts and the President of Def Jam records.
After appearing on tracks by Big Jaz and Original Flavor, Jay-Z released his first album Reasonable Doubt (Number 23 pop, Number Three R&B, 1996), which included "Ain't No Nigga" (Number 50 pop, Number 17 R&B, 1996) with Foxy Brown. Another single, "Can't Knock the Hustle" (Number 73 pop, Number 35 R&B, 1996), featured guest vocals from Mary J. Blige. Unhappy with the album's distribution, Jay-Z formed his own record company, Roc-A-Fella, and signed a deal with Def Jam.
In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 (Number Three pop, Number Two R&B, 1997) was an unqualified success, but 1998's Volume 2...Hard Knock Life (Number One pop and R&B, 1998) allowed the rapper to thoroughly dominate the pop charts. Two singles, debuting within a month of each other, did the rest: the jaunty "Can I Get a..." (Number 19 pop, Number Six R&B, 1998), from the Rush Hour soundtrack, and "Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)" (Number 15 pop, Number 10 R&B, 1998), which used a sample of a children's chorus from The Original Broadway Cast of Annie. The rapper embarked on a hugely successful tour and boosted the careers of such proteges as Ja Rule, Beanie Sigel, and Memphis Bleek. Volume 2 sold more than 4 million copies and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Album.
The 1999 followup, Volume 3... The Life & Times of S. Carter (Number One pop and R&B, 2000), along with two hits — Mariah Carey's Number One pop and R&B "Heartbreaker" (on which he rapped) and "Do It Again (Put Ya Hands Up)" (Number 17 R&B, 1999) — continued the winning trend. In December 1999 Jay-Z was charged with first-degree assault in the stabbing of record executive Lance "Un" Rivera. A new album, The Dynasty: Roc La Familia (Number One pop and R&B, 2001), included the hit "I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)" (Number 11 pop, Number One R&B, 2001). ... Full Jay-Z Biography ...
